Regard to Tender Nursing HHC:
My grandma has lived at Hawkins suites for over a year and I am so lucky to have discovered the perfect place for my Nana. She has the freedom to make decisions on daily life activities…what to wear, eat, watch on TV, sunbathe, socialize, stay up late, sleep in, etc. These are important freedoms as you age, and she is treated with respect and friendship at Hawkins Suites always. It is a unique environment where residents are able to remain independent, yet encouraged to have fun with the others.
Arzu is the heart and soul of Hawkins Suites and her spirit and energy is contagious. You can tell she truly enjoys what she does and takes pride in every aspect of running Hawkins.
I moved my grandma to San Diego to be closer to family, from across the country, when more care and assistance was needed. We originally tried a large assisted living environment, thinking she would enjoy the structured activities. It was too institutional and she always felt pushed around to fit into the schedule of "the home". It was the longest eight months and I was worried I would never see my grandma happy again!
I started searching again and found Hawkins Suites. My expectations have been surpassed from day 1. Now I have my giggling and fun Nana back and know she is in loving care. I get photos of the outings to the zoo, wild animal park, walks, farms, holiday parties, etc. Arzu also discovered my Nana loves to dance and walk, so she makes sure she goes walking and plays music to dance. It's so fun to see ☺ It is the best of both worlds and I highly recommend Hawkins Suites!
